Volunteer at KACS

Lend a hand!

Volunteers are the heart and soul of KACS – wouldn’t you like to join the KACS Volunteer Team? 

Volunteer shifts are usually 3 hours, Monday through Friday. All volunteers are required to complete the following clearances: Pennsylvania Access To Criminal History (PATCH) and PA Child Abuse History Clearance.

KACS Volunteer opportunities:

Receiving And Sorting Food Donations – Weekdays 9am-4pm
Log-in food donations. Sort donations and stock shelves.

Stocking Shelves For Food Distribution – Tuesdays, Wednesdays, And Thursdays 9am-12pm
Stock the KACS Food Cupboard for participants to shop during “Food You Choose”.

Food Distribution Shoppers Tuesdays 12pm-6pm, Wednesdays 12pm-7pm, And Thursdays 12pm-6pm
Guide participants through KACS Food Cupboard for “Food You Choose”.

Little Free Pantries (LFP) – 5-Days A Week 9am-12pm
Check the LFP to see what foods are needed, come to KACS Food Cupboard for supplies and then restock the LFP. 

Warehouse – Weekdays 9am-12pm
Pick up donations from designated sources, break-down loads, and organize warehouse.

KACS on Wheels – Third Thursday of each month
Deliver food to area residents.

Ambassador – As needed for special events to represent KACS and collect donations

Gardening (Seasonal) – Mondays, Wednesdays, And Fridays 9am-11am
Tend the raised beds at KACS.
