KACS Housing Initiative presents:

Home Sweet Home

Why Affordable Housing matters:

Two of three households struggle to find affordable housing in Chester County. The average rent in Chester County is $1,788. Affordable housing is a home that a family can pay for, while still having money left over for other necessities like food, transportation, and health care. The federal government typically defines housing as affordable when it consumes no more than 30% of a household’s income. KACS Housing Initiative’s mission is to increase and preserve decent, affordable, and stable housing for individuals and families with limited resources.
Who could benefit from affordable housing? Everyone!
Who is disproportionately impacted by the lack of affordable housing? Black, Latinx, Indigenous, and other Low-wage earning households.
